Sally's Asian American Film

    As far as I know, most Chinese thought that this film didn’t reflect real Chinese and Chinese culture. From some aspects, like the living style, the clothing style, and the “Chinese thoughts” in the film. For example, in the film, we can know that Mrs. Yang doesn’t like Rachel because she is an America. But in China, we don’t have this kind of prejudice. Something like that.   But for me, I think that this film maybe truly reflected some people who are really rich. But nothing is absolute. Also, I think that the reason why some Chinese don’t like this film is that the story is not attractive. Because when I saw the film at the first half, I can know what will happen next and how is the ending going.    Kim's Convenience gave me the feeling that it was a bit funny at first, but not so funny. It's like saying something funny on purpose, but it makes me unable to laugh.
